SP3277: Day 1 in Tokyo!

OHAYOOOOO.

Arrived at Haneda airport in the moring! Had a really awful breakfast while on JAL flight, but was later drowned in a pool of awesome good food! 😀 It only took us 15min to reach Hamamatsucho from Haneda airport! (HOW FAST!)

Was surprised by how silent Hamamatsucho was.  A very calm and peaceful area, even during lunch time! I wonder if this is a business district. saw mcdonalds on the way to hotel, and got ourselves a savoury pie! cuz since singapore has no savoury pie in macdonalds, we decided to give it a go! (still had no idea what it is even after tasting it. )

Left our luggages in the hotel…. AND THE FOODING BEGINS!

JAPAN IS SUCH A FOOD PARADISEEEE. The sashimis are sooooo fresh, and the thick toasts are also good!!! The strawberries are soooo sweet. CANT WAIT FOR MORE MEALS IN JAPAN. ;D

We chanced upon a hypermart (i’d call it) in asakusa area. and bought alot alot of food for our friends back in singapore. Below are some of the food that we got!!

I wonder how much extra baggage fee i’d have to pay… hahahaha.

Finally met our fellow La Trobe friends in the evening, as well as the very friendly and approachable Mr Paul Pigram! Looking forward to more interactions with them! 😀

Shall now charge myself up (with sleep) and get ready for the group tour to Meiji Shrine Tmr!!

SP3277: Pre-tour expectations

Ohayoooo!

Was busy with my fina year project presentation for this whole week, so my focus was really on fyp, and not so much on the upcoming trip… BUT right after the presentation, the excitement for japan grew exponentially; though I was really tired from one whole week of presentation preparation.

Didn’t made any list or itinerary before heading to Japan. My plan was to just google the good stuffs when we’re there; anyway, we’re there for a study trip, not so much of touring around haha.

Bought gifts from Singapore for the La Trobe friends!! I saw this at Singapore Changi airport, and thought it looked really cute, and had our beloved Merlion printed on it. Hope they’ll like this little souvenir of mine! 😀

I kept having this feeling that the Nano Tech Expo event will be a really big and prestigious one. Looking forward to browse the coolest stuff of 2016.

And of course, LOADS OF SASHIMI AND SUSHIIIIIIIS.
